METHODOLOGICAL APPROACH TO ASSESSING INTRAREGIONAL DIFFERENTIATION OF REGIONS

This paper examines a mechanism for assessing regional socio-economic differentiation, which was formed based on the characteristics of these differences. The developed mechanism is a way to clarify the level of regional differentiation of socio-economic development. In accordance with the law of differentiation, in the process of system development, specialization and division of functions, structures or elements occurs. This leads to an increase in diversity and complexity within the system. In the regional economy, the law of differentiation is manifested in the division of labor and specialization of regions in certain types of activities, which contributes to a more efficient use of resources, increased competitiveness and economic growth. However, along with differentiation, there is a problem of integration - the need to combine specialized elements of the system to ensure its integrity and sustainability. Without this, the system can become disunited and ineffective, and its parts can begin to compete with each other for resources and attention, which will lead to conflicts and a decrease in the efficiency of the national economy. The goal of the work is to build a mechanism for managing differentiation in socio-economic development at the regional level. This mechanism should have the function of determining and explaining the limits of limitation of this development
