LINGUOSTYLISTIC INTERPRETATION OF NEGATION MEANS IN THE POETIC DISCOURSE OF VOLYN WRITERS

The article analyzes the means of expressing negation found in Volyn poetic texts of the active phase of the Russian-Ukrainian war.It describes multi-level markers of negation (lexical, derivational, morphological, and syntactic) involved in communicating the realities of war and representing traditional and renewed images and symbols imbued with deep cognitive, communicative-pragmatic, and emotionalevaluative potential. It was revealed that the absence of clear specialized indicators of negation is inherent in lexical units.Evidence of negation in these units encompasses semantic correlates structured by specialized morphological or derivational representatives of this nuance.Prefixes such as , , , and , which help create microcontexts that exalt the Ukrainian people and negatively evaluate the enemy, were identified as derivational tools modelling negation. In the realm of morphological tools, negation markers include function words, with the particle being the most frequent, whereas prepositions such as and are less common. The implicit expression of accompanying shades of negation is typical of syntactic units that structure complex sentences, characterized by weakened interrogative intention, the absence of formal negation markers, and pronounced emotional-expressive coloring. The linguostylistic analysis of negative expressive means highlighted the psychological states and emotional experiences woven into the poems, effectively conveying the national tragedy of the Ukrainian people. The lyric poetry of Volyn artists is distinguished by recognizable sacred codes, which, when incorporated in new textual contexts and modified by negation, acquire new features and meanings. The interplay of tradition and innovation provides the poetry with the features of distinctiveness, unpredictability, and emotional depth.
