Microstructure and magnetic permeability optimization for the hot-deformed FeNiAl ferromagnetic material
The texture and magnetic properties are tailored for the FeNiAl ferromagnetic material through high temperature deformation. The grains deformed along the rolling direction and formed nano-size fibrillar shape sub-microstructure, the cubic structured Fe and NiAl phase are highly coherent with each other that the SAED pattern can hardly differentiate them. The plane spacing along the (011) crystal plane is 0.1952 nm. The study reveal that the hot deformed FeNiAl ferromagnetic material formed a strong Goss texture (011) and dramatic increase in permeability, the elongated grains faceted on the (011) planes and arrange parallel to the easy axis direction.
