Alterstraumatologische Akutbehandlung
Abstract Falls in elderly people are becoming increasingly important in acute and emergency medicine, also because of demographic change. Due to physiological conditions and comorbidities, the initial treatment already has a strong impact on the short-term, but also on the long-term course of the disease. This article will take a closer look at the acute treatment of elderly trauma patients in order to improve the care of this vulnerable patient group.
