MODERN PROBLEMS OF ASSESSING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE USE OF TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE FACILITIES IN RAILWAY TRANSPORT

The article examines the current problems of the transport complex in terms of assessing the effectiveness of investments in transport infrastructure to meet the demand for freight transportation by rail. The main factors affecting the capacity of railway lines are considered and, in this regard, options for the development and modernization of railway infrastructure facilities in the context of a potential increase in traffic volumes are presented. The classification of indicators of the efficiency of the use of transport infrastructure facilities, grouped by subjects (owners and users of infrastructure), is presented, which can be used for a comprehensive assessment and formation of transport and non-transport effects in the implementation of freight transportation by rail. A comprehensive approach has been implemented to identify all owners and types of effects from the implementation of projects for the construction, modernization and reconstruction of railway infrastructure facilities in order to reasonably assess the effectiveness of investments in this area.
