Evaluating Topology based Routing Protocols with Different Network Node Speeds
This paper studies the performance of AODV (Ad hoc On-Demand Distance Vector), DSDV (Destination- Sequenced Distance Vector), and OLSR (Optimized Link State Routing) routing protocols across various scenarios, including pedestrian, vehicular, multirotor UAV, and fixed-wing UAV environments. By evaluating the end-to-end packet delivery rate, end-to-end delay, and throughput of AODV, DSDV, and OLSR routing protocols, it is found that all three protocols perform similarly and effectively in pedestrian and vehicular scenarios. In the multirotor UAV scenario, the OLSR routing protocol performs better than both AODV and DSDV routing protocols. In the fixed-wing UAV scenario, without considering data delay, the AODV routing protocol performs better than both DSDV and OLSR routing protocols.
