History and trends in the development of low-orbit satellite communication systems
In modern military conflicts, satellite communication system plays a huge role. In recent years, the performance of Starlink on the Russian-Ukrainian battlefield has led to increased investment in satellite communication systems around the world. In modern warfare, Traditional communication methods are limited by range, susceptibility to interference, and infrastructure vulnerabilities, highlighting the superiority of satellite communications, which offer global coverage, low latency, and high data rates. low-orbit satellite communication, distinguished by its reduced latency and elevated data speeds, has emerged as the leading edge of satellite communication advancement and a key battleground for international competition in the upcoming years. This paper primarily concentrates on advancing the low-orbit satellite communication system, providing a comprehensive account of its development history across various nations. Additionally, it offers insights into the future development trends of low-orbit satellite communication systems.
