Near-Field Coherent Source Localization for Two Closely Located Sources
Near-field (NF) coherent source localization represents a significant importance in the field of signal processing. However, most current algorithms can’t be used to localize near-field coherent sources. In this paper, a near-field coherent source localization method that utilizes the focusing and alternating oblique projection (AOP) techniques for two closely located sources is proposed. Through the application of focusing technique, the NF signal model is approximated as a far-field model. Following this, spatial smoothing pre-processing (SSP) and estimation of signal parameters using rotational invariance techniques (ESPRIT) are employed to decorrelate and obtain coarse estimates. Subsequently, AOP technique is iteratively used to achieve fine estimation. Numerical and simulation results confirm the efficiency of the proposed method to localize NF sources.
