Ways to improve logical and cognitive culture of students at theologocal educational organizations
The relevance of the topic under study is due to the need to improve logical and cognitive culture of students at theological educational organizations. Logical and cognitive culture is primarily associated with the formation of students’ logical and research competencies necessary for conducting scientific research and writing educational research and research papers. The following research methods were used: theoretical - logical techniques with concepts: analysis, synthesis, generalization, abstraction, comparison; and basic operations with concepts definition of concepts, generalization and limitation of concepts; empirical - observation, survey. In the course of the research, it was found that students of theological educational organizations have problems writing educational research and scientific research papers, especially in the process of developing methodological apparatus. In order to improve logical and research competencies of students, the author proposes to integrate knowledge of logic into individual humanities subjects, in particular, Philosophy, Homiletics and Rhetoric. A more successful option would be the introduction of Logic as an academic discipline in the part formed by participants in educational relations, or as an optional discipline. At the master’s level, logic can be integrated into the content of such disciplines as Methodology of Scientific Research, Methodology of Church History, Methodology of Theology, etc. Logic is considered as an integral part of students’ research practices.
