Distribution and population density of representatives of the family Buliminidae in Uzbekistan and adjacent regions

The article presents the terrestrial mollusks involved in the spread of helminth diseases in Uzbekistan, the original picture of each species, the characteristic features of conchological signs, ecology, population density and distribution map. In addition, brief information is provided on the species composition, distribution, morphology and biology of some helminth larvae parasitic on mollusks. Currently, there are 33 genera of land mollusks of the BULIMINIDAE family in the world fauna, and the presented scientific information on the morphological structure, ecology, population density, distribution map, and significance of representatives of 6 genera in Uzbekistan and adjacent regions will serve helminthologists, parasitologists, veterinary specialists, farmers specializing in livestock breeding, and students studying in higher and secondary specialized educational institutions in the field.
