Research on Sustainable Land Use and Development in Dongying City under the Guidance of Low Carbon Economy

The sustainable utilization of land resources in Dongying City based on the carbon economy The chapter starts with a summary of the concepts and features of the carbon economy and sustainable land use with the argument that sustainable land use is critical to a carbon economy. Then, it talked about the history and problems of land use in Dongying City and looked at how Carbon economic growth has changed land use in the area. As the research area, Dongying City was used for a case study. Tools like ArcGIS 10.7 and ENVI 5.3 were used to look at changes in land use types and carbon emissions. In Dongying City, the data show big changes in how land was used from 2012 to 2022. These changes include the city growing quickly and natural resources, like farmland and forest land, being taken over or turned into developed land. Drawing on the results, the paper then outlines land use strategies for sustainable management in Dongying City under a carbon economy that include selection of carbon pathways, optimization of land use structure, as well as land management and policy recommendations. The following series of empirical analyses are presented, and discussed, with concluding remarks identifying key findings and future research direction. The results are anticipated to provide useful guidelines and some recommendations for sustainable land use under a carbon economy for Dongying City.
