Study on mechanism of andrographolide in treatment of influenza A combined with viral myocarditis by network pharmacology and molecular docking technology

The study aimed to investigate the pharmacological mechanism of andrographolide in treating influenza A combined with viral myocarditis. Potential targets related to andrographolide, influenza A and viral myocarditis were identified from several professional databases. We constructed a PPI network and screened the core targets according to the degree value. Then, GO and KEGG enrichment were carried out. Molecular docking technology was used to verify the affinity between andrographolide and core target protein crystal structure. The results show the common targets of andrographolide, influenza A, and viral myocarditis were 70, and the PPI network contained 69 nodes and 1,249 edges. The six core targets were identified, including IL6, TNF, IL1B, AKT1, TP53, and IFNG. The potential therapeutic mechanism of andrographolide on influenza A combined with viral myocarditis is closely related to regulating viral or parasitic infectious diseases and improving the immune system. Molecular docking showed that andrographolide could spontaneously bind to the receptor protein and had a strong binding force. Our results indicate that andrographolide can simultaneously intervene in influenza A combined with viral myocarditis by a multi-dimensional pharmacological mechanism.
