Time-Domain HRRP Characteristics Analysis of Corner Reflector in Multistatic Radar System

The corner reflector is a typical form of passive interference. When combined to form a corner reflector array, its electromagnetic scattering characteristics are similar to those of complex targets, which seriously impacts radar target recognition. The research of this paper is based on the multistatic radar system with one transmitter and multiple receivers to address the challenge of identifying corner reflector arrays. Features such as the maximum amplitude difference, symmetry, and the peak count difference are constructed by simultaneously obtaining high resolution range profile from multiple observation stations. Experimental results demonstrate that these features display the differences between the corner reflector array and complex targets, providing a potential approach for subsequent radar target recognition.
