Load Transient Control of Double Buck 12V-1V Converter
In this paper, a load transient control of a double buck 12V-1V converter is proposed. During the load transient, the double buck converter has a normal working mode to switch to the transient enhancement mode. The equivalent input voltage is increased by three times through simultaneous excitation of two-phase inductors, thus accelerating the response of inductor current to the load transient. In the 5A load transient test, compared with the traditional working mode, the proposed transient working mode reduces the output voltage drop by 37.4%, shortens the recovery time by 10%, and significantly improves the transient performance.
