A METHOD FOR ESTIMATING THE ERROR OF SIGNAL PARAMETERS OF VHF/UHF AND WI-FI RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF INTENTIONAL INTERFERENCE IN THE PERFORMANCE OF STATE SECURITY TASKS

The article presents a method for estimating the error of signal parameters of VHF/UHF and Wi-Fi radio communication systems under the influence of intentional interference, which is critical for increasing the stability and efficiency of communication of Ukraine's security forces. Given the current challenges in the field of electronic warfare, particularly the growing level of intentional interference, there is a need to develop methods for adapting communication systems to maintain their performance in the face of active enemy radio frequency interference. The proposed method is based on the estimation of the selective variance of signals, which allows taking into account changes in signal characteristics under interference and correcting parameters to minimise errors. Two main algorithms for calculating the variance are defined: exact and approximate. The exact method is used in situations where a sufficient amount of data is available and it is possible to perform complex calculations. Instead, the approximate method provides high performance, which allows estimating the parameters of signals in real time, which is especially important for adaptive communication systems in the conditions of active manoeuvring of military units. The influence of measurement errors, in particular quantisation errors arising in the process of digital signal processing, is investigated. Methods for correcting these errors by introducing special correction factors are proposed, which reduce the effect of quantisation and increase the accuracy of determining the statistical characteristics of signals. In addition, the influence of correlation between sample elements on the accuracy of variance estimation, which has not been previously considered in known works, is analysed. The scientific novelty of the study is determined, which consists in developing an approach to estimating the error of signal parameters, taking into account not only the general features of digital processing, but also the specifics of communication systems under conditions of active radio electronic interference. It is proved that the use of the proposed methods allows to adapt the communication parametersin real time, which significantly improves the reliability and quality of information transmission in the conditions of hostilities or other crisis situations. Abstract
