EVALUATION OF THERMAL EFFECTS IN AN ANNULAR DISC USING THE CAPUTO-FABRIZIO FRACTIONAL DERIVATIVE APPROACH IN HEATING AND COOLING CONDITIONS

The main objective of this thermoelastic modeling is to investigate the thermal effects of heating and cooling processes on temperature change, displacement function, and thermal stress in an annular disc. To observe the naturally occurring delayed responses to physical stimuli as predicted by the fractional-order hypothesis, the Caputo-Fabrizio fractional derivative is taken into the modeling of the heat transfer equation. In the heating process, the disc is subjected to a partially distributed and axisymmetric heat supply on the lower and upper surfaces of the disc, in the cooling process, the heat supply is removed from the lower and upper surfaces, and the disc is cooled by the surrounding medium. Additionally, the disc’s inner and outer curved surfaces retain the heat flux. We use the integral transformation approach to derive the analytical solution of the heat transport equation, and then plot and visually represent all the findings of the thermal investigation, taking into account the material characteristics of aluminum.
