CURRENT PROBLEMS OF RESEARCH ON THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF AN ORGANIZATION IN CONDITIONS OF INSTABILITY AND WAYS TO SOLVE THEM

This study is devoted to the analysis of research methods for managing the sustainable development of an organization in conditions of instability, identifying problems on this basis and substantiating ways to solve them. The study systematizes foreign and domestic approaches, identifies such problems as: weak integration of multidimensional factors reflecting regional, cultural and institutional characteristics; fragmentation of research approaches; the use of tools focused on reporting; lack of methodologies and tools for researching sustainability issues at the level of small and medium-sized businesses; recommendatory nature, as well as lack of practical recommendations in the field of assessing the sustainable development of an organization in conditions of instability. The solution to the identified problems is the author’s development and implementation of scientific and methodological tools for managing the sustainable development of an organization in conditions of instability. The organizational and economic mechanism will not only allow responding to changes in the external environment, but will also become the basis for building a flexible management model for the sustainable development of an organization in conditions of instability. The results obtained have significant theoretical and practical significance for the development of corporate sustainability strategies.
