Clinics biopsychosocial: a scientific journal that will promote dialogue between science and society

The creation of scientific journals should be understood as a space that goes beyond a conversation among peers; it is a space for the legitimization of science, a privileged place permeated by a dialogue between science and society. It serves as a bridge between the knowledge produced by science and the knowledge disseminated through practice and social imagination. In 2023, the Higher School of Sciences of Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Vitória celebrates its 55th anniversary. Over the years, the institution has always believed in the importance of scientific dissemination, emphasizing that the academic community should not remain confined within its circle of specialists. It is essential to take a stance and participate in public debate. For this reason, the school has incorporated the promotion of scientific dissemination into its curricula, consolidating it through incentives for publications, the organization of scientific events, and other means.
