Thermally Stable All-Inorganic Cs3MnBr5 Perovskite Luminescent Crystals for 3D Printing Application

Metal halide perovskite luminescent materials have been recognized as potential materials due to their excellent optical characteristics. However, its poor stability and the environment-friendly request make it urgent to develop a stable nontoxic material. Herein, thermally stable green emission Cs3MnBr5 crystals have been synthesized by a simple water evaporation method, which did not use any organic solvent or ligand. These Cs3MnBr5 crystals exhibit a stable photoluminescence (PL) curve and a linear trend under different excitation powers. Moreover, the optimized Cs3MnBr5 crystals can remain at 87% PL intensity after 10 heating loops, demonstrating good thermal stability. To check the potential for some special applications with a heating treatment, the Cs3MnBr5 crystals were designed to make a composite poly(lactic acid) (PLA) fluorescent fiber. Such fiber was successfully applied in a fused deposition modeling three-dimensional (3D) printing for 3D characters.
