St. Petersburg State University VI Winter School of Translation 2025 (St. Petersburg, January 24–25, 2025)

The article deals with an online scientific and practical event that has become a regular event for philologists, theorists and practitioners, interpreters and translators, students who have mastered the field of language. For two days, practitioners and translators from around the world including Russia have been introducing the theory and methodology of translation, trends in educational paradigm shifts, and new authors and translations to their colleagues. Within the framework of the event, there were held master classes on simultaneous and sequential translation, there were organized the round table discussions on the training of machine translation specialists and translators (interpreters) in the field of art, there were discussed professional and socio-cultural aspects of translation. Translation schools have become an important event for training of highly professional staff, a platform for international communication attracting literary and educational enthusiasts.
