S. T. Aksakov on the Spirit of Patriotism
The article attempts to trace the transmission of the line of patriotism in the work of the famous Russian writer S. T. Aksakov. An appeal to two of his works from the Family Chronicle: "Memories" and "Bagrov's Grandson's Childhood" and "Meeting with the Martinists" revealed patriotic moments. Patriotism, as one of the manifestations of cultural ecology, translates the preservation and transmission of linguistic and folk traditions, ideas about good and evil, love and devotion to the Motherland, protection of historical, moral and national values. The attention is focused on three components: understanding goodness as one of the peaks of the triad "Truth, goodness and beauty", a truly Russian way of life and love for the Fatherland and love for nature. The authors conclude that the line of patriotism in the work of S. T. Aksakov is represented in two directions. On the one hand, it is the love of one's native land, the preservation of Christian values. On the other hand, in "Memoirs" and "The Childhood of Bagrov the Grandson" he demonstrates a reverent attitude to nature, the world around him, relatives and friends - a personal experience of love for a small homeland.
