Methods of Theoretical Research on the Electric Drive of a Belt Conveyor: Approaches, Modeling, and Evaluation

The methods of theoretical research on the electric drive of a belt conveyor based on mathematical modeling are considered. The foundation of the analysis was the development of a model in the Matlab Simulink software environment, which allows studying the dynamic and energy characteristics of the system in various operating modes. Special attention is paid to the calibration process of the model using experimental data and verification of its adequacy using Fisher's statistical method. The results of modeling transient processes, steady-state modes, and emergency situations are presented, demonstrating the high accuracy of the model and its applicability for optimizing belt conveyor control systems. Additionally, the influence of external conditions, such as load and speed variations, on system performance was studied. Methods for improving the energy efficiency of the electric drive through parameter optimization are analyzed. It is concluded that the developed model can be used to enhance control systems in industrial applications.
