Governmental Order in the Positioning of Educational Institutions in Russia in Social Media

Social media around the world is used for more than just personal purposes. Following businesses, government agencies are moving here. The use of “Vkontakte” and “Odnoklassniki” social networks for these purposes is becoming a normative governmental order. The results of research conducted by the author over the past 4 years among university freshmen indicate the need for positioning in social networks. The article attempts to analyze the state of affairs in the field of positioning of state educational institutions in social networks. The difficulties and main mistakes in positioning of such institutions are identified.
