PEUTZ JEGHERS SYNDROME COMPLICATED BY INTUSSUSCEPTION - A CASE REPORT
Peutz-Jeghers Syndrome(PJS) is a rare genetic disorder characterized by multiple hamartomatous polyps in gastrointestinal tract and mucocutaneous pigmentation. It follows an autosomal dominant pattern of inheritance[1,2]. It is associated with an increased lifetime risk of development of gastrointestinal and extra-intestinal malignancies . We hereby present a case report of Peutz Jeghers Syndrome complicated by intussusception. It emphasizes the role of CT scan in early diagnosis of PJS and associated complications, aiding in early surgical intervention , screening and surveillance for early detection of associated malignancies.
