The Silent Struggle: Menstrual Health in China and Beyond

Menstruation is a natural part of a woman's physiological cycle, but the quality of sanitary products does not guarantee basic hygiene. This paper focuses on menstrual health and provides insights into the challenges and opportunities menstrual health faces in different cultural and socio-economic contexts. By analyzing existing literature, statistics, and case studies, the paper reveals the extent to which issues such as menstrual shame, menstrual poverty, and the price and quality of sanitary products are manifested in different countries. At the same time, it explores the policy measures, social actions, and results achieved by each country to improve menstrual health, provides theoretical support and practical references for the promotion of global menstrual health equality, and promotes more attention to and effective improvement of this long-neglected area of public health.
