Research on Preschool Children’s Language Abilities in Story Retelling and Promotion Strategies-Based on the Guide to Learning and Development for Children Aged 3-6

The story retelling of preschool children refers to the process of retelling the stories that preschool children heard or saw in their own tone and way. The Guide to Learning and Development for Children Aged 3-6 emphasizes that retelling should reflect children’s language accuracy, thinking logic, and emotional understanding, and encourage personalized and creative expression. However, there are three main problems in retelling preschool children’s language stories: lack of imagination due to lack of life experience, lack of enthusiasm for learning due to lack of attraction, and lack of language organization ability due to quick forgetting. Based on this, the author puts forward corresponding measures in combination with the Guide, including respecting language characteristics for children, strengthening language training, enhancing the attraction of picture books for teachers, and providing teaching guidance. The second measure is to strengthen home cooperation, rich imagination, and language expression ability to improve preschool children's story-retelling ability.
