The Promoting Role of New Quality Productive Forces in Rural Revitalization and Its Mechanism Analysis — An Empirical Study Based on the Effects of Innovation Spillover and Industrial Upgrading

This paper utilizes provincial panel data from 2010 to 2022 to empirically analyze the role and mechanisms of new productive forces in rural revitalization. Through a random coefficient model, this study examines the direct impact of new quality productive forces on rural revitalization and their indirect effects through innovation spillover and industrial upgrading. The results show that the level of new quality productive forces significantly enhances the comprehensive index of rural revitalization, with innovation spillover and industrial upgrading playing a key mediating role. Heterogeneity analysis indicates that economic level and industrial structure differences significantly affect the impact of new quality productive forces, especially in regions where high-value-added industries are dominant, this effect is more prominent. This study provides theoretical support for policymaking, emphasizing the promotion of sustainable rural economic development through optimizing rural industrial structure and promoting the flow of innovative resources.
