Research on the Development Model and Application Prospects of Concentrated Solar Power
With the planning and implementation of large wind and solar bases in desert, Gobi, and wilderness areas, the state is intensifying the efforts to build a new energy supply and consumption system, which poses higher demands on the regulation and support capabilities of the power grid. Concentrated solar power (CSP) generation integrates the characteristics of the synchronous machine, energy storage, and new energy, and holds unique advantages in the diversified power source system of the new power system. It will significantly impact the technological pathway for low-carbon transformation. This paper studies and analyzes the characteristics of CSP generation, the current development of the industry, and development models, and establishes an operational model for CSP stations suitable for sequential production simulation. Based on the Effective Load Carrying Capability (ELCC) method, the application prospects of CSP are studied with relevant suggestions proposed.
