Sô nieman spricht oder wenn niemand klagt?
Abstract The article examines the fairy tale Die drei Mönche zu Kolmar from a legal perspective. One can understand it as a fairy tale that complains about the private administration of justice. It is therefore connected to many of Kaufringer’s fairy tales, who also deal with the legal process in cgm 270. The fairy tale was not perceived as bizarre in the Middle Ages; the last verse must be understood differently than before. Only then does the meaning of the epimyth emerge.
