EFFECTIVENESS OF MANAGEMENT MEASURES FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF RENEWABLE ENERGY IN AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES IN THE CONDITIONS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

This article endeavours to examine the managerial measures, economic efficiency, and environmental benefits of biodiesel production from rapeseed feedstock. Key aspects of the agro-industrial cycle, from rapeseed cultivation to its processing into environmentally clean fuel, were analyzed. It was revealed that rapeseed provides the highest profitability (up to 45%) among other oilseed crops due to low production costs, high by-product yield, and sustained demand for biodiesel. It is demonstrated that cultivating rapeseed on an area of 1000 hectares generates added value for farmers and ensures a stable net profit. The advantages of the catalysis technology are highlighted, emphasizing its simplicity and accessibility, as the main costs are concentrated in the cultivation and primary processing stages of the raw material. The biodiesel production project, in addition to its economic benefits, supports the concept of a circular economy, which ensures waste reduction and the creation of additional revenue streams, such as meal and glycerin. It is also substantiated that biodiesel contributes to an 80% reduction in SO₂ emissions compared to traditional diesel fuel. A comparison of biodiesel with other green energy resources revealed its unique ability to be directly used in diesel engines without modifications, making it a versatile solution for transportation and industry. An analysis of environmental indicators demonstrated that biodiesel has a zero carbon footprint due to the balance between CO₂ emissions and its absorption by rapeseed during cultivation. Simultaneously, the importance of considering risks, such as dependence on market prices and the need for large areas for raw material cultivation, is emphasized. Based on the analysis conducted, conclusions are drawn regarding the economic and ecological viability of biodiesel production from rapeseed in Ukraine, as well as the necessity to account for risks associated with resource price volatility and the requisite for infrastructural investments. Thus, the substantiated economic and environmental advantages of biodiesel confirm its prospects as a strategic direction for the development of Ukraine's energy independence and the provision of a sustainable agricultural sector.
