Research on the Excavation, Unloading and Support Technology of the High Rock Slope in the Reservoir Area of Lianghekou Hydropower Station

High slopes are characterized by great height, steepness, and significant hazards in case of instability. Moreover, the geological conditions in the reservoir area of hydropower stations are generally complex. The stability of high rock slopes will change to a certain extent with the impoundment of the power station, and geological disasters such as landslides and collapses may even occur, which seriously affect the impoundment progress of the power station and the safety of the lives and properties of the people in the reservoir area. Therefore, from the perspective of safety, conducting research on the stability of high slopes has certain practical value and theoretical significance. This paper takes the high slope on the left bank of the Zhatuot Bridge in the Xianshui River reservoir area of the Lianghekou Hydropower Station as the research object. Firstly, 3D laser scanning is carried out on the left bank of Zhatuot. Then, according to the characteristics of slope instability, blasting excavation, unloading, and support construction are carried out on the left bank of the Zhatuot Bridge. The results show that for unstable slopes, according to their potential unstable areas and rock mass characteristics, the combination of 3D scanning technology analysis, dynamic design, layered excavation, and implementation of safety monitoring can effectively control slope deformation. This can provide a reference for similar projects.
