Estrategia didáctico-lúdica para fomentar la motivación por el aprendizaje del inglés en estudiantes del subnivel elemental de la ciudad de Esmeraldas

With the objective to propose a didactic-playful strategy that encourages students' motivation to learn English, strengthening their interest and commitment to this process, mixed modality research was carried out, that is, qualitative and quantitative; it was a documentary and field research, using the positivist paradigm. The synthetic analytical, inductive deductive and hermeneutic methods were used. The survey was used as a research technique, which was applied to a non-probabilistic sample of voluntary participants made up of 90 students, through a questionnaire containing 17 closed questions. The results revealed that students have a high level of extrinsic motivation to learn English, agreeing with the use of playful activities for language learning and feeling more motivated to learn English when this type of activities are used. The didactic-playful strategy called “Carla´s Bingo Blast: The English Adventure” was proposed, which will increase students' motivation for learning the English language through interactive, playful activities.
