THE IMPACT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ON LABOR PRODUCTIVITY

The paper examines the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies on labor productivity, with a focus on the macroeconomic aspect of this issue. The relevance of the topic is due to the rapid development of AI technologies and their implementation in various sectors of the economy, which leads to the transformation of labor processes and changes in the employment structure. The purpose of the study is to assess the impact of AI on labor productivity at the macroeconomic level, as well as to identify the key factors that contribute to or hinder this process. The study explores theoretical foundations related to the interplay between artificial intelligence (AI) and labor, examines statistical data on AI adoption across different countries, and provides actionable recommendations to enhance the effective utilization of AI in economic systems. The practical benefit of the study lies in the possibility of using its findings to create digital transformation strategies that contribute to increasing the competitiveness of economies at the level of individual countries. The study involved approaches such as comparative data analysis, building regression models and attracting expert assessments. The results of the study show that the introduction of AI contributes to the growth of labor productivity in countries, but the effects are unevenly distributed. The paper concludes by proposing measures to optimize the use of AI, including investments in education, digital infrastructure development, and innovation support. The study is based on data analysis from the McKinsey Global Institute, the World Economic Forum, and national statistical offices. The article presents charts and tables illustrating the dynamics of the contribution of productivity growth to GDP growth over the past 50 years, as well as the impact of generative AI on labor productivity in different countries and regions. Particular attention is paid to AI implementation scenarios, which show that early adoption of technologies can significantly increase productivity growth. The article contributes to the understanding of the macroeconomic consequences of AI implementation and offers practical recommendations for policymakers and businesses. The results of the study can be used as a basis for formulating strategies related to digital transformation that will help strengthen the competitiveness of national economies in the era of global transition to digital technologies.
