Method for recognizing underwater objects by reflected hydroacoustic signals

To solve problems related to the detection, coordination and recognition of underwater objects, hydroacoustic methods are mainly used to obtain information about the underwater environment. The article presents the results of the research of the identification algorithms for underwater objects based on the analysis of hydroacoustic signals reflected from them. As a basis for the analysis of signals reflected from underwater objects it is proposed to use the methods of periodogram analysis, which allow to identify the main frequency and time components in the signal and to distinguish these reflections. Algorithms based on the computational scheme of Bui-Ballo and Fourier transform are considered. Based on periodogram analysis, the features for further identification of underwater objects by hydroacoustic signals reflected from them are determined using voting algorithms and algorithms for separation of objects in the Euclidean feature space. The identification results are presented for test underwater objects obtained during experiments in the experimental pool. The results of identification of test underwater objects during experiments in the experimental pool are presented.
