Factores asociados al embarazo adolescente en una institución educativa: Un estudio descriptivo

This descriptive study analyzed factors associated with adolescent pregnancy in an educational institution in Apurímac, Peru, with a sample of 51 female students between the ages of 14 and 16. Using a quantitative approach and a non-experimental, cross-sectional design, a validated structured questionnaire was administered. The results revealed that 51% of the adolescent students were at low risk, 41.2% at medium risk, and 7.8% at high risk. Structural factors showed greater vulnerability (68.6% at medium risk), while individual factors emerged as the main protective factor (76.5% at low risk). Institutional factors presented an intermediate picture (56.9% at low risk, 35.3% at medium risk). The study concludes that comprehensive interventions are needed, especially workshops led by health professionals that involve the entire educational community and establish ongoing coordination between the educational institution and local health services.
