Nurses’ immigration while the Iranian healthcare system suffers from a nursing shortage
The growth and development of any society depend significantly on how well human resources are utilized [1]. One major challenge facing the healthcare system is the persistent shortage of nursing staff, which has been worsening each year and has reached concerning levels [2]. This shortage influences social and economic factors and dramatically affects access to healthcare services, resulting in a noticeable decline in the quality of nursing care and overall healthcare delivery [3]. One of the main factors leading to this nursing shortage is the immigration of health professionals in search of better working and living conditions in developed nations [3].
