The Impact of Channel Geometry and Flow Regime on Endothelial Orientation and Morphology in Vessel‐on‐Chip (Adv. Mater. Technol. 7/2025)
Vessel-on-Chips In article number 2401994, Jaap M.J. den Toonder and co-workers explore how channel geometry and flow conditions affect blood and lymphatic endothelial cell orientation and morphology in vessel-on-chip models. Different flow conditions result in very different cell morphology in channels with circular and rectangular cross-section. Also, endothelial cell orientation induced by flow affects monocyte-endothelium interaction, crucial for understanding immune cell motility.
