Complex actions of amyloid beta on hippocampal neurogenesis in Alzheimer’s disease pathogenesis
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by progressive cognitive decline and memory impairment. One of the key pathological hallmarks of AD is the accumulation of amyloid beta (A?), a peptide derived from the sequential cleavage of the amyloid precursor protein (APP) by ?- and ?-secretases.
