A PROSPECTIVE OBSERVATIONAL STUDY ARTHROSCOPIC SINGLE AND DOUBLE BUNDLE TIBIAL INLAY TECHNIQUE FOR TORN ISOLATED POSTERIOR CRUCIATE RECONSTRUCTION

Introduction: Because the anterolateral (AL) bundle is larger and has a substantially higher stiffness and ultimate load than the posteromedial (PM) bundle, it has received the majority of attention in reconstruction of the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL). The added complexity of DB reconstruction has made it controversial, even though theoretically, DB PCL reconstruction appears to be superior to SB reconstruction. Objective: The clinical outcomes of single and double bundle reconstructions with arthroscopic assistance for isolated posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) injuries were assessed in this study. Method: 10 patients who had single bundle tibial inlay PCL reconstruction (Group A) and 10 patients who had double bundle tibial inlay PCL reconstruction (Group B) between January 2023 and January 2024 had their data reviewed in this study. In groups A and B, the average follow-up duration was 10 months. Results:. The IKDC subjective knee evaluation form, Lysholm score, Tegner activity score, and range of motion did not differ between the two groups at the previous follow-up. Both groups showed a signicant improvement in the side-to-side difference in posterior translation.
