Crowdfunding the Army: Implementation and Implications

Crowdfunding can augment the resources available to the military, fundamentally change its logistics, and help build new supply chains, compensating for deficiencies in the official logistics system and helping it to adapt to modern army sustainment requirements. The research provides a typology of military crowdfunding models defined by the source, nature, and recipient of resources. Key tools for countering the adversary’s crowdfunding campaigns are described.
