Analyzing the safety of state protective forest belts in the Rostov oblast, RF, based on remote sensing data
State protective forest belts reach their age limit and monitoring their current state is the most important task. The authors assessed the soil-and-climatic factors affecting the safety of the forest resources where pyrogenic influence was not reported. For the wood area of “Voronezh – Rostov-on-Don” there is a weak correlation between the weather impact on the condition of forest plantations – 0,14 and –0,18, respectively. At the “Penza–Kamensk” territory we can see a moderate correlation between precipitation and preservation of sediments – 0,47, which is not observed with data on average long–term temperatures – 0,27. In the protective strip “Belgorod – the Don” there is a weak connection between the influence of soil and climatic factors on preservation, for temperatures – –0,23, and precipitation – 0,26. The results obtained demonstrate no connection between the weather and safety of SPFB in the territory of the Rostov oblast, RF, with the overall preservation of areas in the study area being 89,14 %
