“DISEÑO DE UN SISTEMA INTEGRADO DE GESTIÓN SEGURIDAD Y SALUD OCUPACIONAL BASADA EN LA NORMA ISO 45001: 2018, EN LA EMPRESA GRUPO PALCOR S.A.”
Occupational safety concerns differ significantly based on the industry, organization structure, and individual work procedures. In light of this scenario, the issue that emerges is: how can we develop an integrated management system ISO 45001:2018 to enhance the Occupational Safety and Health service at Grupo Palcor S.A.? The aims of this study are: to assess the present condition of the firm, “to determine the dangers and degrees of risk that workers are exposed to, and to recommend an Occupational Safety and Health Management System based on ISO 45001:2018”. The approach used included implementing a design process focused on ongoing improvement, using the Deming cycle or PDCA to organize documents and assess progress. According to ISO 45001:2018, the design achieved a 97.62% increase in compliance with risk levels in the work areas as measured by IPERC. Following the introduction of the system, there was a notable decline in the accident rate, which decreased to 1.76% during the first six-month period. Ultimately, developing a comprehensive implementation guide will provide the organization with a definitive resource and instructions for executing and overseeing protocols pertaining to occupational health and safety throughout the whole corporate landscape.
