Degradation kinetics of multilayer organic compounds in OLED devices
Understanding surface and adhesion phenomena at polymer interfaces is a key to develop advanced multiphase nanomaterials for technologies like OLEDs, OFETs, and OPVs. This study investigates the impact of organic-inorganic interfaces on OLED performance and degradation. We examine TAPC/CBP/BPhen three-layer structure on ITO substrate at room temperature and simulate ageing by heating up to 120°C. By analyzing the interfaces between organic materials and multilayer configurations by in-situ spectroscopic ellipsometry, we aim for better understanding of interfacial electron transport, degradation mechanisms, and exploring interfacial tuning strategies to enhance OLED performance.
