BLUE Fusion for Multi-Point Localization

This paper presents a method for combining multiple location estimates to enhance accuracy. The system consists of a single-antenna transmitter and multiple multi-antenna receivers. Each receiver independently estimates the transmitter's location using distance and angle measurements, albeit with some imprecision. To reduce this imprecision, we propose a method inspired by the best linear unbiased estimator (BLUE), which judiciously combines information from multiple receivers. The proposed method only requires the receivers to send their two-dimensional location estimates to the central node. This design ensures communication efficiency by avoiding the need to share raw data. The proposed approach is validated through numerical evaluations, demonstrating its effectiveness in improving localization accuracy.
