Dynamic stability analysis of piezoelectric laminated viscoelastic microbeam in temperature-electric field
In this paper, the dynamic stability of piezoelectric laminated viscoelastic microbeam under axial cyclic load is investigated in temperature-electric field. Based on the Euler–Bernoulli hypothesis and the standard linear solid model, the partial differential equation governing nonlinear dynamic characteristics was derived. The principal dynamic instability regions are identified with incremental harmonic balance method. The effect of environment damping coefficient, temperature, static voltage and the piezoelectric governing voltage on the principal dynamic instability region is discussed. The results show that the piezoelectric layers can be introduced to sandwich the microbeam to enhance dynamic stability.
