Photothermally‐Induced Reversible Rigidity of Nacre‐Mimetic Composites Toward Semi‐Active Personal Safeguard (Adv. Funct. Mater. 14/2025)
Semi-Active Personal Safeguards In article number 2414780, Sheng Wang, Yuqian Ma, Xinglong Gong, and co-workers report a nacre-mimetic semi-active protection strategy to enhance kinetic impact resistance through structural design. The hybrid design combines the high stiffness of rigid epoxy resin with the flexibility and damping characteristics of soft shear-stiffening gel-carbon nanotube-cellulose nanofiber network, presenting a promising approach for improving personal protective equipment.
