Communication environment in the context of media system transformation

The article examines the features of the functioning of communication environments in the context of traditional and new media's transformation, focusing on the specifics of building and developing communication environments in a situation of growing importance of regional media, and the importance of technological processes of information production. The article analyzes the challenges faced by the Ukrainian media system as a result of the war and the trends in the development of the media system in these conditions. Special attention is paid to the qualification of the features of the functioning of local communication environments and the formation of hypotheses for the study of these features. It is concluded that the study of the communication environment in the context of the transformation of the media system involves increasing attention to regional media, which informatively reflect the dynamics of such environments.
