Immune Checkpoint inhibition in Mucosal Melanoma - A single centre retrospective analysis
Background: Since the introduction of immune checkpoint inhibition (ICI), the outcome of advanced cutaneous melanoma (CM) has improved substantially. Yet, for mucosal melanoma (MM), the prognosis in advanced settings remains dire, with reported median progression-free survival (mPFS) and median overall survival (mOS) of 4 months and 19 months, respectively (1). Prospective data from randomized clinical trials remain scarce due to the rarity of this melanoma subtype, highlighting the importance of retrospective real-world data.
