Workforce Diversity: Its Impact on Achieving Organizational Goals at our Lady of Lourdes College Foundation
This study examines the impact of workforce diversity on organizational goal achievement at Our Lady of Lourdes College Foundation (OLLCF). Utilizing a descriptive research design, the study surveyed 170 teaching and non-teaching staff members. The research focused on three dimensions of diversity: gender, socioeconomic, and sociocultural. Findings reveal that workforce diversity has a high to very high impact on achieving organizational goals across all dimensions. Gender diversity initiatives demonstrate strong positive associations with goal attainment, particularly in flexible work arrangements and balanced departmental assignments. Socioeconomic diversity, especially in educational attainment and employment status, contributes significantly to organizational performance. Sociocultural diversity emerges as a crucial factor in fostering an inclusive environment and enhancing institutional effectiveness, notably in linguistic and cultural collaboration. The study also identifies key challenges in managing workforce diversity, including communication issues, workload distribution, and promotion criteria. These challenges underscore the need for holistic diversity strategies that integrate inclusive policies, equitable resource allocation, and continuous dialogue. The research contributes to the growing body of literature on diversity management in educational settings and offers empirically grounded recommendations for policy and practice. These findings provide valuable insights for higher education institutions seeking to leverage diversity for improved educational outcomes and organizational success in an increasingly globalized academic landscape.
