Evaluation of a Modularized Photovoltaic System Instructional Trainer for Energy Systems and Management Program
An increase of demand for skilled professionals in the solar energy sector highlights the need for effective photovoltaic (PV) system training. However, there is a noticeable gap between theory and practice in solar energy education. To address the gap, an educational trainer was developed, simulating both off-grid and grid-connected PV systems, while using cost-effective components. The study used a descriptive survey method gathering feedback from students and instructors on the trainer’s reliability, functionality, accessibility, and effectiveness. The results showed an excellent rating in functionality and effectiveness. The findings suggest that the trainer effectively enhances the students’ practical skills. This shows that the students are equipped with essential hands-on skills they needed to succeed in the renewable energy job market.
